Guampedia Board member. Alice Taijeron, a Guampedia Board member, is the president of the Guam Housing Corporation. She was appointed to this position by the Governor of Guam in January 2019. The housing corporation’s mission is to serve those unable to obtain financing through conventional banking institutions.

Former Guampedia Staff. Artemia Perez graduated from the University of Guam pursuing a BA in Anthropology with minors in Sociology and CHamoru Studies. She joined Guampedia’s team as an Administrative and Research Assistant starting in November 2018. Deepening her understanding of CHamoru culture started as and continues to be a personal endeavor. She aspires to instill this same sense of curiosity in all of Guampedia’s users.
Guampedia Staff. Lazaro Quinata is a graduate of the University of Guam with a major in Sociology and minor in CHamoru Studies. He has contributed and collaborated with Guampedia in a professional capacity multiple times.
Former Guampedia Staff. Shannon Ada is a 2019 University of Guam graduate with a BA in communications with a concentration in mass media, journalism, and public relations and a minor in mathematics.
Dr. Laurie Raymundo has been a professor at the UOG Marine Lab since joining the University in 2014. She is a coral biologist, interested in the impacts of human stressors on corals and coral reefs.

Guampedia Advisor and Author. Jayne Flores is the Assistant Director of Communications and Promotions at Guam Community College. A former veteran of TV, radio and print journalism, Flores moved to Guam in 1984 as an investigative reporter for the former Guam Cable TV.
Guampedia Author. Leiana San Agustin NaholowaÊ»a received her bachelor’s degree in Literature and Writing Studies at California State University, San Marcos, and a master’s in English at the University of Guam. She has taught at Université Paris-Est (previously Université de Marne-la-Vallée), California State University-San Marcos, University of Guam, and Guam Community College.

Guampedia Author. James Oelke-Farley serves as a historian for War in the Pacific National Historical Park on Guam and American Memorial Park on Saipan. Oelke-Farley holds a BA in History from the University of Guam and is currently at work co-authoring a book (with Timothy Babalis, PhD) about the American Memorial Park in Saipan for the National Park Service.
