Guampedia Author. Boyd Dixon is a Senior Archeologist and Auxiliary Manager for the TEC Inc. Hawaii office in the US Territory of Guam.

Guampedia Author. Marilyn C. Salas received her BA and MEd from the University of Guam (UOG) and obtained her PhD in Reading from the University of Arizona.   Salas is a retired associate professor of the University of Guam Richard F. Taitano Micronesian Area Research Center (MARC) and served as the director of the Center for Chamorro Language and Culture at the university.

Guampedia Author. Hiro Kurashina, PhD is the Emeritus Director of the University of Guam Richard F. Taitano Micronesian Area Research Center (MARC), appointed in 2004 by the UOG Board of Regents and the president of the University of Guam. Dr. Kurashina earned his PhD, MA and BA (receiving honors in both general scholarship and his major) in anthropology at the University of California at Berkeley, with an emphasis in Old World Archaeology.

Guampedia Author. John A. Peterson, Assistant Vice President for Graduate Studies, Research and Sponsored Programs, University of Guam, earned a masters and a doctorate in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin. He is the former director of the Richard F. Taitano Micronesian Area Research Center, University of Guam.

Guampedia Author. Peter E. Patacsil was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii and a Master of Science degree in Operations Research from the US Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

Guampedia Author. Alexander M. Kerr is an assistant professor of Marine Biology at the University of Guam’s Marine Lab.

Guampedia author. Chloe Batangan Babauta is a fourth-generation reporter at the Pacific Daily News. Babauta has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Guampedia Author. Chelsea Marlo San Nicolas is the daughter of John San Nicolas and Melissa Finney Bettis and the oldest great-granddaughter of late Pacific Daily News editor Joe Murphy.

Guampedia Author. Art De Oro has a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Guam.
