Donald L. Platt received a BA in history from the University of the Philippines (Diliman Campus) and an MA and PhD in history from the University of Toledo, Ohio, where he specialized in American Foreign Relations under the guidance of the late Dr. Charles DeBenedetti.
He is a history professor at the University of Guam where he teaches introductory survey courses in United States history, upper-level courses in American Foreign Relations (1898 to the present), Modern American Military History, and History of the Philippines.
