Bernadette Matthews is currently pursuing a B.A. in psychology at the University of Guam and will graduate in Spring 2008. She plans to continue at the university in order to pursue a master’s degree in psychology.

Matthews served as a fact-checker for Guampedia during late 2006 until the summer of 2007.

Matthews is president of the Psychology Club at the University of Guam and since 2005 has been involved in several of the club’s community service projects. In 2007, she volunteered with the traveling Human Rights Watch International Film Festival, a venue for films with distinctive human rights themes that was hosted by UOG.

Matthews is from the village of Malojloj and is a 2002 graduate of Southern High School.
