Vanessa Estella

Vanessa Estella holds a bachelor’s degree in government from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and a master’s degree in international affairs from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Estella served as a copy editor for Guampedia from late 2006 to early 2007, and was instrumental in establishing copy editing standards and criteria for the project.
Estella is currently the executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam, a nonprofit agency dedicated to providing mentoring services for youth. Prior to this, she worked with Human Rights Watch and the American Cancer Society in Los Angeles, California. Her professional background also includes teaching social studies at Academy of Our Lady of Guam, copy editing for the Pacific Daily News and analyzing trade policy for the U.S. Department of Commerce.
She and her husband live in Tamuning where they raise their two sons.
